A few of us on the DC Council are curious about the community's views on vigilantism. I'm aware that several of you feel very strongly about this issue (whether you're for or against it), but we'd like to get a few more opinions. A simple "it's a bad idea" or "it's a great idea" is okay, although explanations would be great. And, if you don't want your feelings on the subject publicly known, feel free to filter your comment to me.

Man, I was complaining about how cold my apartment is (thanks room mate, for forgetting to turn the heat on), and my mom told me that it's going to feel like -30 back home tonight. I don't know if that was supposed to make me feel better or what, but I'm considering setting his X-Box on fire for warmth. The less Halo sound effects I have to hear, the better.

Well, my parents are finally on their way back to Michigan. It was great spending time with them and everything, but they were beginning to get a little uhhh stressful? I'm not sure how to explain it. But I was tired of playing the parents version of 20 questions. "You're not drinking, are you?" "Do you hang out with people who drink?" "What about drugs?" "When are you going to meet a nice girl?" I guess you guys get the point.
Uhhh I also want to thank everyone who showed up to the party this weekend. I don't know about the rest of you, but I had a lot of fun. And for those of you who're interested, I think the kegger is going to be this Saturday. Just keep all the Superman talk down to a minimum.
One last thing! I was watching Superman Returns earlier, and I have to say, Christopher Reeves > Brandon Routh. So for those of you who have had movies made about your characters (or future movies, in the case of Watchmen/Deadpool/etc), what do you think about the actors who have portrayed you? Your characters, I mean. Not really sure how I feel about Kate Bosworth as Lois, but haha that's a story for another day.

There's this myth out there that people that have birthdays close to Christmas get twice the presents. As awesome as this would be, it's really not true. Dec 23 is entirely too close to Christmas to come with any of these benefits. My past birthdays have mostly been "oh look, your brithday is so close to Christmas! This present counts for both!" and my birthday parties have always been Christmas themed (which gets really old when you get around 9 or 10). Don't even think about getting any new video games because there's never anything on the shelves for my parents to buy. 8|
Uhh on the plus side, my parents are planning on coming to the city for Christmas, so I don't have to go back home. That said, does anyone have any suggestions for cool-but-lesser-known tourist things I could show/do with my parents? The whole Statue of Liberty/Empire State shtick gets old after a while.

Er, hey. I know I'm new and everything, but I've got something to say to the community as a whole. So uh look. Diane Green is a great leader. We all know that. I've only been around for a couple of weeks at the most and even I can see that she's doing a fantastic job. Don't even add in that she's doing a great job 'for a teenager'. She's doing a great job period. She's the person everyone goes to for advice. She's the person everyone goes to with their concerns. She's the one that is 100% dedicated to the community. And all of you seem to like her okay. So why should she have to step down? Because there is tension between her and Mr. Hickman Bryan? That's bullshit. A leader is supposed to do what's best for the community. And Crossover needs Diane to stay on as leader. But she can't do that without our support.
I'm not saying that you don't care about the community, Bryan. I don't know you and I can't claim to know you. I don't think you're apathetic, but your inaction hasn't done anything to put you in anyone's favor either. You aren't approachable, you aren't helpful, and you've been downright nasty to Margot certain people. These aren't the traits of a leader. A leader is supposed to be helpful, approachable, and more. So If I have to chose to lose one of you, I'm going to go with the person who isn't good for the community. And I apologize, Mr. Hickman, but that's you. You don't have to be Superman to know that.
That said, if everyone who supports Diane as leader could speak up, comment, or ...something? That'd be cool.
